Let’s talk about the colossal mess that is week two of the school term. It’s like the honeymoon phase is over, and reality just smacked us all in the face.
My three kiddos? They’re over it already. Grumpy, tired, and looking like little zombies who don’t know what sleep is! Not to mention, the weather is a total disaster—cold, dreary, and just the right kind of miserable to make you want to hibernate until spring.
So, what do I do when the kids are dragging themselves through the week, and I’m teetering on the edge of sanity? Enter: CJ’s Hot Chips and home made Hot Chocolates. This afternoon, I decided it was time for an impromptu treat to work that comfort food magic.
Spoiler alert: it was amazing. Crispy, golden hot chips with chicken salt and steaming mugs of hot chocolate with marshmallows that made us all feel better for a while.
After our little treat, we went full chill mode. We curled up on the couch with cozy blankets, watched movies, and dove into some serious coloring sessions. Because let’s face it, sometimes the most productive thing you can do is absolutely nothing… No need to feel guilty about it.
Life is chaotic enough, and we’re all doing our best. Sometimes, the best way to tackle that ever-growing to-do list is to toss it aside for a bit and recharge.
Embrace the chaos, the mess, and the exhaustion.
Let’s normalize taking it easy, especially when it feels like the world is demanding we keep going at full speed.

So here’s to week two, hot chips, hot chocolates, and the art of chilling out. We’ve got this! See less
